All 3550xl under perform

I have 28 x 3550 xl's and the cpu times and response time are 50% higher than all the 3550 smi i have. Has anyone else noticed a performance issue with 3550xl's. I plan to replace them. What is the recommend replacements for 3550xl's

Hi,

You can use 3560's ...

First I would try to check if the IOS images are not old or buggy before replacing them

That could be your problem.

I will need to connect 3 switches together via gigabit modules can this be performed with the 3560

Yes this can be sone ... the 3560's all have gigabit interfaces and if you want to use fiber you need to use the GBIC'S

So are you sayng the 3560 are gigastack able like 3550
