ADSL over Routed bridge

Dear All

i am having a problem with an adsl connection when i try to use WIC-ADSL on 1841 router. The isp is using routed bridge encapsulation. with a static ip. i configured the the atm connection as follows

int atm0/0/0.1

pvc

8/35

atm routed-bridge ip

Created a static route to the gateway of the isp

i am able to ping the gateway but unable to ping any other website from the router nor from the users. can any one please help me with this problem

just wanted to inform that i have already added the ip address (static) provided by the ISP. i want to use this atm connection to route internet traffice to the ethernet interface.

Hi MUHAMMAD,

This seems to be an ISP issue since you can reach their network (gateway) but not further. Also, you can try configuring IRB as follows:

bridge irb

!

interface ATM0.1 point-to-point

bridge-group 1

pvc 0/35

encapsulation aal5snap

!

interface BVI1

ip address

!

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0

!

bridge 1 protocol ieee

bridge 1 route ip
