CSA 4.5 to 5.1 path

Has anyone attempted restoring a CSA 4.5 backup file into a fresh 5.1 install? When using the Restore utility, it doesn't "find" the file necessary to restore.

Will an export from the 4.5 MC be necessary?

Any thoughts are appreciated...

An export should be fine if you are just replicating the environment. You may want to isolate and export only those customized items you want to carry over.

What are you trying to accomplish?

Hey Tom...glad to see your response...

4.5 Server died.

Called TAC.

TAC says stay with 4.5, restore from backup. If we're feeling spicy, go to 5.0. If not, wait until 5.2, which should be out any time now?

Looks like the export function doesn't carry as much over as I would like...need to remember that for the future.

Yeah, with 5.2 you should be able to do a migration if you can get the 4.5 MC restored from backup.

Export is really only good for rules, variables and such.

5.2 should be released any day now...
