HI

sorry but how can i fix it?

Hi Ali

Slot 6 should take any linecard for the 6500 with a sup720. Most likely the problem is that the version of software you are running does not support the linecard.

If you identify the linecard which will have it's name on the bottom left of the module eg

WS-X6748-GE-TX

then search for that exact linecard on Cisco website. if you then go to the product page it should telll you the minimum IOS/CatOS you need for that linecard.

if this is not clear post the name of the linecard and your version of software as Amit requested.

Hi Ali

If you physically look at the module what type of module is it ?

Jon

That looks like the 2nd Supervisor hasn't booted properly. I suggest you put a console cable into the Sup720 in slot 6 and reset the card (from the active Sup720 or just power reset the whole chassis).

The output from the Sup720 whilst it attempts to boot should give you a good idea what the issue is - probably corrupt IOS image or boot variables are not set. Take a look here:

Ali,

It seems like your Sup engine is not booted properly. There is some issue with the Sup engine. Please connect a console to it and see if it is at rommon status. Please check the link below for recovering it:
