Question on the 6500

does anyone know what the most stable catos is for the 6500 with sup720's and msfc modules.

i am also seeking the same advice on the ios for the same box.

The most stable IOS for sup720 would be 12.2(18)SXB or SXD.

This also need to be checked against the release notes to ensure that the features you are using do not hit on any known bugs. 12.2.(17) was bug ridden so anything 12.2(18) should be fine.

CatOS most stable would depend on the feature set your using some of my customer are running on 8.3 though.

Go through the release notes before you take a decision.

Hi,

Its a good idea to rely on SAFE Harbor Testing when it comes to suggestion for stable images on Cisco platforms. Ofcourse, you might want to check release notes once for any specific or special feature you require.

CatIOS: 8.5.7

IOS: 12.2.18 SXF6
