I would like to know if, in order to run MPLS in my network, should I use 7200 or 7300 routers? Which one is better for MPLS?

Hi Ivan
I would certainly go for Cisco 7200 with NPE G2...

Thanks Edwin, the reason I am asking this is because the 7300 routers have the NSE-150 which is optimized for PXF and hardware accelerated services for MPLS with a performance of 3.5 Mpps while the 7200 with the NPE-G2 is 2 Mpps!

Hi Ivan
I agree with that but when you are placing your 7300 as your PE router you may end up in scarcity of slots(Ports) since the maximum slots you can go with 7300 is 4 but in case of 7200 you can scale upto a max of 6 slots which can accommodate more modules when compared to 7300..
