Hi,
I am trying to find some documentation or example to explain or possibly show how to setup a dial-in vpn (pptp/l2tp), where the user receives an IP address assignment statically based on the username. Thus a static dhcp mapping, but instead of mapping to fixed hardware address it should map using the username as the variable.
Anyone have any ideas?

To assign a static ip address to VPN clients is a feature available on Concentrator and PIX/ASA 7.X .
I am not sure if its available for IOS or not.

More Information:
IOS doesn't support static ip address assignment on basis of usernames for PPTP/L2TP or IPSec Clients. ASA/PIX 7.X and concentrator does.
*Please rate if helped.

That's too bad that it doesn't support it. Is there any other way that one could achieve this, as per maybe using off-router authentication, with a dhcp pass-through to maybe Active Directory?
