Unanswered Question

I am running native IOS version 12.2(17d)SXB11a on my lab CAt6506 with SUP720/MSFC3.

I tried to follow this article

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps700/products_tech_note09186a00801751d7.shtml

and issue the following commands

rommon 1>priv

rommon 2>nvram_erase

It says nvram_erase command not found.

Can someone offer any suggestion?

What is it you are trying to accomplish ? If you are trying to erase a config it may not let you because you are in rommon mode , you have very limited commands available because the switch is not booted up .

Are u performing the Crt+Break in the MSFC boot or in the Supervisor boot?

"Note: Supervisor Engine 720 has the nvram_erase command in Route Processor (MSFC) ROMmon, and it is not a valid command in Switch Processor (Supervisor Engine) ROMmon."

U have a Supervisor 720, right ?

So let the Sup boot be performed, and as soon as u see the MSFC letters perform the Crt+Break, and do it like document tells.
