Connecting 2 wireless routers

Can I connect two wireless routers using an Aironet 1231 in between? Any help on how this is done would be appreciated.

Connect one of the router to the Ehternet of the AP and you could configure another router as a repeater to the Access Point.But here 2 nd router can serve only wireless clients in Layer 2 mode.
