why did the Failover commands on ASA5510 take no effect?

HI,Guys:

I am configuring Failover on two ASA5510,but some Failover commands take no effect when I entered them into ASA.

For exmaple:

I entered the following commands in the mode of ASA5510A(config)#:

failover

failover lan unit primary

failover link FailOver Ethernet2

ip address 172.16.1.1 255.255.0.0 standby 172.16.1.2

failover interface ip FailOver 10.1.1.1 255.255.255.0 standby 10.1.1.2

Then,two-three commands above did not appear whem I used show run,why?

Wow..thats interesting...

Anyways...do you see the above commands in the followng output :-

1)sh tech

2)sh run fail

also i am interested to know does this mean that failover is in effect even though the command are not showing up ?

do ya see failover process being populated in the coommand sh proc mem ?

Also reboot the firewall once and then try the commands

Lets take it from there....
