Hi all,

I want to know , what will happen if we use an AS number which is alredy being used by other service provider . In my network I have some BGP pering with other providers so what will be the impact of that.

I have this problem too.

I for sure would not like to know the impact. I better not use unallocated/unauthorized AS/IP Address as I don't want WorldCom lawyer come knocking in my office door :)

If you really need to use BGP, use Private AS instead. If you have two link to the same ISP, your ISP will be able to eBGP peer with you using private AS.
