rps-300 won't release power back to a devicehelp?

We have a rps connected to a 2950-24 switch, the power plug was accidentally

knocked out of the switch and the rps-300 took over supplying power, when we plugged the switch back in the rps won't release supplying power. If we put the rps in standby mode it dropped power to the switch causing the switch to reboot. Is this normal? How can you get the rps to release supplying power so the power supply of the switch can take over?

I have this problem too.

It is normal. I really don't know what Cisco was thinking when they designed this.

You have to live with this.
