Hi, I'd like to announce the default on the ASA inside network if the internet provider link is up on the router placed on the ASA outside network.
I'll to use the track option on the route command to remove the static default route, if ping fails and I'd like to redistribute default static route on the ospf process enabled on the inside interface.
is it correct ? any suggest ?
thank you

Route tracking would work fine. Redistribute the statics into the internal ospf process. See link.
You could also send a default route in OSPF.
default-information originate [metric]
configure the command on each router and set the metric for which one you want as the default.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Chad

Route tracking relies on a backup route. We tried this on a pair of PIX's, with a ISP route. We tracked the default route to the ISP router and advertised the route via OSPF to our core. This part worked fine, however if we failed the PIX's over we lost the route. If we added a backup route it worked fine. Documentation is poor.

What version are you running?
There is a bug in route tracking when used with a failover pair.
