Cannot ping my DNS from CLI, but will ping from SDM.

Hello all,

I have just reconfigured a 851w. with Inside global and Inside local addreses connected to a cable modem.

The test function of SDM 2.3.3 passed everything as O.K but when I try to ping from the CLI, I was getting no where.

Furthermore from my hosts, I can ping inside local addresses, but I cannot ping inside global addresses. I can ping both local and global from the router CLI. All hosts are directly connected to router.

Any help will be appreciated.

My cable modem is working fine. I herby attach a copy of my config, in case anyone can spot my mistake.

You have not defined a domain name and domain look up is also not provided. Add these and do a debug when you are pinging

But home come I can ping from SDM with the same configuration?

I have just added a default route of 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 to f4 and it now pings from CLI. It is working, but that doesn't explain why it pings remote host from SDM but not from CLI.

Anyone has an explanation?
