Hi, in Cisco document 70559 there is no route for tracked on ISP network, but in case of wrong response the default route is removed and you cannot reach the tracked IP no more. Is it necessary a route line specific for tracked IP (10.0.0.1 in the document) ?

No, you don't need another route to get to the tracked IP address. It would use the default route associated with the outside interface to monitor the status of tracked IP.

ok, but the default route is the route with the track option. In case of no response from tracked IP, the default is removed from the routing table and we have no more routes to the tracked IP

Hi, I confirm you that without the route for tracked IP host, when the default is removed by the track process, the sla monitor process is not able to verify the reachability of the tracked IP and the sla process remains faulty
