Compatibility of LX to SX

Dear all,

I have WS-G5486 (1000base-LX/LH)IN CISCO 7609 ROUTER Which I want to connect with SFP-GE-S IN 7613 router. Is this compatible

can anyone provide me link for this compatibilty

HI

If they are both SX or LX then u have no problem.

If they are different i.e SX-LX then u can probably go for conditioning cable.

1000Base-SX should not be connected to 1000Base-LX they are not compatible. They operate at entirely different wavelengths 850nm for SX and 1300nm for LX. The mode conditioning patchcord is to allow the LX to use multimode fibre as its connection media.
