No, you shouldn't have any problem with that.
VTP is a mechanism through which the VLANs are dynamically propagated. This simplifies the VLAN configuration process as any changes made on a central device, VTP server, is propagated to the other switches in same VTP domain. This is useful for large networks with multiple switches.
Your setup doesn't require VTP as you have only two switches. Create the VLANs manually in the switches and configure sub interfaces on the 2821 router to route between the VLANs.
