Hallo!

I have this:

1) 1200 series AP

2) RADIUS server (microsoft IAS)

3) WinXP client for connecting to wirless network

i have already configured my AP to use RADIUS server. Questionis - how i need to configure RADIUS server and WinXP client to dynamically assign vlans to the users, depending on the active directory groups (username and password)?

I have just found, that i need to use IETF 64 attribute, IETF 65 attribute, IETF 81 attribute on he radius server, but what to do next???

Thank you in advance!!

Hi,

You would need to set the attributes to the following value :-

Attribute 64 - VLAN

Attribute 65 - 802

Attribute 81 -

When these attributes are pushed, the AP will put the user in the vlan id specified. The vlan id should already exist on the AP.

Regards,

Vivek
