Unity DiRT restore to new server

Answered Question
Mar 14th, 2007

I have a production unity, vm only, that I will be migrating to a new server platform.

On the new server, I have Unity installed up to the point of the telephony integration. On the DiRT procedure, I see that Unity must be completely installed before DiRT restore can run on the new server. My question is, once I integrate the new server with CCM, will this cause any problems on the existing production server? Obviously, the IP addresses are different on the two Unity servers. Thanks

I have this problem too.

You do not need to integrate the new server with CCM before the DiRT restore. You only need to completely install the Unity server but no configuration is needed. Then use DiRT to restore all the configuration of the previous server on the new server, it does not matter if it has a different IP Address (eventhough I recommend you to install it with the same IP Address and once you have restore the old server configuration change the IP Address), check the DiRT help:
