Issue with check_pkg_errors.sh -c

I know from an earlier thread that Cisco's position is symbolic link is not and will not be supported with /var/adm/CSCOpx, so my question is: What's the danger (if any) of manually re-establishing /var/adm/CSCOpx as a symlink to the real file system after "check_pkg_errors.sh -c" "fixes" this "error"?

None. The danger is in upgrading. People with symlinks see massive failures after applying patches, and if they don't remember to re-establish, they think CiscoWorks is dead.

I should qualify that there is no KNOWN danger besides the upgrade. Since, as you pointed out, this configuration is not supported nor tested, we don't have a full grasp of all possible problems that may exist.
