LIN 17 K codec !

Hi

Started working on a new network recently and, through hitting "?" on my phone noticed the Codec was "lin 17k".

Not come across this one before so searched CCO -Nothing !

Has anyone else seen/used this ?

The qaulity is quite poor so as this was an on-net call on the LAN can't really see why we would be using it.

Thanks.

Was it Lin16k or Lin17k ?

If using wideband codec in the region, the phone will show Lin16k when you press the I button.

Thanks for the link,

The phone definitely shows "17" though

Can you verify what codec is being used in the region associated with the device pool of the phone in question..
