TAC response:

There are no 64bit drivers for this camera. Neither of the latest versions of the two applications for which the camera is designed are compatible with 64bit vista.

The Realease notes do not make mention of x32 nor x64 OS:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/video/cuva/2_1/english/release/notes/ol15290.html#wp1120254

"•Microsoft Windows Vista Business Edition or Enterprise Edition with or without

Service Pack 1

•Windows XP Professional with Service Packs 1, 2 and 3

•Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4

•Microsoft DirectX 9.0c (For details, see the Internal Hardware rows in this table.)

•USB audio device hotfixes1 :

-For Widows XP: KB 914642

-For Windows XP: KB 884868

-For Windows 2000: KB 832339"

The release notes do say "Only 32-bit (x86) processors are supported with 32-bit versions of Windows Vista." Still no mention that only x32 OS is supported.

Very disappointing and unacceptable.

While there is no official driver for the cameras on 64-bit OSes, some folks have discovered a hack in the Logitech forums:

This is all clearly unsupported by Cisco or Logitech, may cause all kinds of failures, and is completely unwarranted, use at your own risk, yadda yadda yadda.

The wave of the future is to use a USB Video Camera (UVC)  compliant camera, such as the Cisco VT Camera III and CUVA 2.2.
