Hi,

It?s a little bit ambiguous and the answer depends on what are you talking about:

1-A physical interface can be defined as ?NAT inside? or ?NAT outside? using the commands ?ip nat inside? or ?ip nat outside?, this indicate to the router the difference between traffic originated from inside or outside, the last command entered will be taken into consideration, so an interface can be only ?nat inside? or ?nat outside?.

2-if you are talking about NAT operation, this is not related to an interface input or output operations so it is possible for the router to execute both ?inside source? and ?outside source? operations in the same time.

I enclosed a little picture for more explanation.
