Hello,

i have a customer that has a CW LMS 2.6 managing more than 1000 equipments.

He has enormous databases and the service level is very degraded.

Is there any thing to do with the database to purge them or to depurate them????

Thank you on advanced.

Try this:

You can rotate a log files using logrot.pl , this script availableNMSROOT/bin logrot.pl

You won't want to use logrot.pl for databases, this is meant for the log files only. To completely clear your databases you should do the following:

dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmEpm dmprefix=EPM

dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmInv dmprefix=INV

dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmFh dmprefix=FH

dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=rmeng dmprefix=RME

dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=ani dmprefix=ANI

dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=cmf dmprefix=Cmf

More than 1000 devices can be managed with CiscoWorks as long as you have the right server hardware and are careful with the server configuration.

The big question is what is filling the databases, if you don't change that they will just get huge again, right?
