Hi,

Is there any latency related rule when we configure L3 vpn.

Means, i heared from someone that end-to- end latency in a l3 VPN can't ever be more than 50 ms in any case.

IS this true ???

if yes how ??

I have this problem too.

Comparing pure IP vs. MPLS L3 VPN latency can be more in case of VPN due to need of label imposition. Usually it won't be of any issue.

50ms limit on latency sounds bogus to me because that would make impossible to implement VPN across extra long distances - you can't beat speed of light (not yet in any case).
