Unity UM 4.2(1) stops due to license error

I've run into an issue where temporary license files expire, after we have added the permanent ones, and it has brought down all licensing on the Unity server. Is this a known bug with Unity?

Unity licenses are based on the mac address of the NIC in the server that Unity is running on. Have you changed hardware since requesting the license file? If you go to Licensing in Unity web admin, does it show the correct number of licenses?

Brandon

Jason,

Did you remove the temp license and apply the permanent license ?

Do you see any licensing alerts in license info viewer or event viewer ?

Brandon,

Congrats on your IE..

Thanks!

No we added the new licenses on top, and restarted Unity.

When you have 10-20 license keys it's difficult to determine which .lic file is the temporary one.

I couldn't find anything in writting on CCO that states you need to remove any temp .lic files or everything will stop every 48 hours.

In past we've left any temp licenses in place with no issues, sounds like this is a caveat.

No hardware changes, number of licenses is correct, we had 50 temp unity subscriber and 300 permanent unity subscriber (voicemail only) and temp failover and permanent failover and Unity stopped answering calls.

Hi Jason,

Did you ever get a resoulution to this issue?

We have also run into the same problem and having installed Unity for many different customers have never seen this before.

Unity licesing seems fairly steady on previous installs so wondering if it is a bug?

Regards
