VG 224 SCCP and fax

Hi,

I have situation that i have vg224 gateway.but the client want it to use with SCCP not with MGCP because they want to enable call pickup,call forward all,speed dials all functions through Analog phones.But the problem is they have fax machine also wanted to connect this gateway.Is it possible using gateway as sccp and or if i can use the same gateway with both MGCP and sccp...

or do i need to purchase ata adaptor for fax machine...

The VG224 is the best solution for faxes/modems.

You should have no issues with SCCP and faxes/modems with the VG224.

What is the IOS version of your VG224? I an installation of VG224 (12.4.8) with CCM 4.1.3 and we have many problems with the fax devices.

It's better to go with MGCP/H.323 for faxes and modems, and SCCP for anaolog phones (to get the features you mentioned).

Using SCCP for faxing will cause you issues.
