The current minimum router that support 155Mbps ATM is 7200 series. The module is PA-A3-OC3 or PA-A6-OC3. However, PA-A6 requires NPE-400 and above. There's also a single-mode, multi-mode, and single-mode-long.

bonne chance!

Not knowing what a FAI is in France, we cannot say if the circuit has to be ATM or packet-based (POS). True is that for optical networking, the starting point is the 7200 and a fast NPE.

Hi,

I will try to expleine in English.

We wont to creat ? new link between us and un ISP in French (FT) it is not un ATM link. so i need to know in detail the minimum of materiel required (Router and NM) to do this.

Best regards

Hi,

You will need a minimum of 7200 router with a fast NPE (NPE-400 or better), the interface card is PA-POS-OC3xxx, where xxx is SML, SMI, or MM respectively for Single Mode Long Range, Single Mode Intermediate Range, or Multi Mode. That is, it must match the type and length of the fiber span.

Hope this helps, if so please rate post!

Thenk you for help,

I will get un 7604 router but i need the technical specification for the NM interface card required!

Best regards
