I have a remote site with Frame with a 1.5 mb circuit no/zero CIR from Sprint. The Hub site has a 12 mb FR Circuit.
Remote Site Traffic Shaping is as follows:
map-class frame-relay Data-Voip
frame-relay cir 1536000
frame-relay bc 15360
frame-relay be 0
frame-relay mincir 1536000
frame-relay fragment 1600 --- Dual FIFO
service-policy output Voip
Service Policy is set to priority 50% for Voice EF traffic bandwidth 64k for voice control.
sho frame-relay pvc output shows shaping inactive and sho traffic-shape stat output shows all sub interfaces except the site which has voice and traffic shaping applied.
What should the min cir value as above "frame-relay mincir 1536000" be set to zero, based on provider info all traffic is marked DE.
Has anyone else exp. high jitter with voice with zero cir FR circuits.
Thx

I hope this link will help you in configuring Framerelay

Your mincir value should be set to 0.
Also, lower the fragment size substantially avoid serialization delay on the link.

You are not going to be happy running voice over a 0 CIR circuit unless your provider is setting it up to do so.

Some providers sell a Frame Relay service of 0 CIR. Obviously, not exceeding CIR in this case would prevent any voice from being sent across the frame link. A service of 0 CIR may be used for voice but there needs to be a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the provider to guarantee minimal delay and jitter for a certain bandwidth across the 0 CIR PVC
