CCNA curriculum

Unanswered Question

Hello everyone,

I am thinking of getting a CCNA certification, however I am a bit hesitant as I am afraid that cisco would change their CCNA curriculum this year. Is there a schedule where they would change the curriculum (let say every 3 years or so)?

Also I was thinking of getting CISCO press CCNA self study guide as my text. Is this sufficient?

Any advice given would be appreciated.

I have this problem too.

No one can say how often they will change the exam "magic" number that qualifies for higher certifications (i.e. CCNP).

If you passed it, you don't have to worry if they suddenly change the "magic" number. Your CCNA cert will still valid for 3 years.

Hi Trinity,

I have just finished CCNA 4 and found the CCNA 1 and 2 - and - CCNA 3 and 4 Companion Guide, revised third edition, Published by Cisco Press invaluable. In fact I did most of my study from the books and only ever referred to the online material occasionally just to see if i had missed something. I managed to get near on 90% for every module, so the books can only help.

All the best,
