acceptable giant packets received

I have a 6509 (distribution, running 12.2(17d)SXB5) and a 6506 (core, running 12.2(17d)SXB1) device that both show Giant counts incrementing. Wanted to know what is an acceptable percentage of Giant packets, and any tips for determining the cause (can pcap captures assist? ie, ethereal?).

I have no known reports of this causing any issues in the network.

This might be noticed on a trunk port of 6509.This might be due to bad cabling, Long Cable run,speed/duplex mismatch.Refer URL
