I am really trying to push L3 in the closet using 3750s. However, it is very frustrating when the most basic stuff (i.e. multicast routing) is not supported in the IPBASE image--but I hear this is supposed to change in an upcoming release. Upgrading to IPSERVICES is hard to cost-justify just to do L3 in the closet. What is the general sense in the community out there? Any feedback would be much apprediated.

I havenot heard of any announcements as such. We have clear distinction between the IP base and Ip services image.IP base pure layer 2 and basic l3 services while IP services with pure Layer3 features with routing protocol and IP multicasting services.
