Description to static routes

hello

i am a new network administrator in my office, and i wonder if there is a way to add description's to static routes?

Hi

you can define a description using name keyword attached to the ip route statement..

Hi Shahar,

Use the "name" keyword at the end of the route and if the description which you want to give is more than one word then use "" between the statement.

Something like this

Switch(config)#ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 x.x.x.x name "DEFAULT ROUTE"
