I am in the process of upgrading the image on a Cat 4510 IOS.
When I do a show bootvar it shows the following
BOOT variable = not available
CONFIG_FILE variable not available
Configuration register is 0x2101
ignore-config: disabled
auto-config: non-recurring
console baud: 9600
I have entered the following:
# boot system flash c45....bin;c45....bin
# conf reg 0x2102
but when I do a show bootvar, it still shows the same as above.
I am wary of rebooting this now as I do not know if it will pick up the new download?
In addition do I write
boot system flash device:c4500.bin
or
boot system flash c4500.bin
Please help.
Thanks

Thanks Glen
It also shows
BOOTLDR = not set
even though on the Show version, there is a boot image.
Should I also isuse a bootldr statement or leave it as blank?
