ITP 2600: SS7 Signalling Link to dest will not align

Unanswered Question
Mar 20th, 2007

I have a ITP 2600 and the link will not come up.

1) The point code is correct.

2) The SLC info is correct.

3) The E1 does not have any timing issues.

4) CRC4 is not active both sides

I have a few debugs running:

MBEBDITP2#SH DEBUG

CS7 MTP2 (Serial0/0:0):

Alignment Error Rate Monitor debugging is on

Congestion debugging is on

Error debugging is on

Initial Alignment Control debugging is on

All SRM error debugging is on

All STM error debugging is on

CS7 SCCP:

SUAAPI event debugging is on

CS7-MONITOR event debugging is enabled

CS7-MONTIOR error debugging is enabled

I have even created a MTP2 profile adjusting the timers for timers T2-T7 but this has also not helped.

And what I can see in the debugs is that I do not get any response to the test messages FISU_MSU.

I have had a analyser on the E1 and this displays responses in the direction of the ITP but I cannot see them in my traces.

The customer has taken my word for it but I doubt the ITP 2600 a little bit....

I have even tried internally looping the E1 and the Serial interface to see if I could see the test msu response.....no joy

Could this be a know problem ???

Attached is my Show tech and debug

Please give me some tips.....my hair is failing out !!!!!......believe me baldness does not suit me !!!

I have this problem too.

I think your problem is due to the host not being up at the time.

The way the system works is this The host comes up and opens the ethernet socket to the SS7 system. This then causes the SS7 system to open the socket to the VCO. If the host drops the socket to the SS7, then the SS7 likewise drops the socket to the VCO.
