VPN Connection issues

I can initialize a VPN session on my PIX just fine however it comes up with the following box..

"The server has requested the following information to complete the user authentication: Then username password"

Where is this username/password coming from? The group information possibly?

This is a pix 506e that the company moved from another branch offce. I don't have any Taccacs or Radius information should I get rid of that? Where is it trying to authenticate from?

Lance,

If you have a command on your PIX - something like

crypto map mymap client authentication

Then take that out.

You will not be prompted for user authentication.

Hope this helps. Rate this post!

I have -

crypto map outside_map client authentication RADIUS

That it? I was thinking this may be it but not 100%

Remove that and it should not ask for user authentication.

Rate this post, if it helped.

Thanks

Gilbert

Well I tried to remove this line but it just wont budge lol

aaa-server RADIUS (inside) host exchange.srvfarm.xxxxxxx.com !2N0w%f3fhrP time5

Kinda wondering if I should be checking something on the Radius server or maybe I'm not putting the right information in the login tab :/

Remove this line.

Dont worry about the aaa-server on there.

crypto map outside_map client authentication RADIUS

See if the client can connect without the user authentication prompt.

Thanks

Gilbert
