feel free to read my post below yours about 3750 inter-vlan routing with SMI. i believe it is supported but i'm having a tough time getting it working!

Yes the SMI does support interVLAN routing with only basic routing functionality being supported.

Platform-dependent, you get Static routes, RIP, and EIGRP-Stub in the IP Base (formerly SMI) at no cost.
Net-result, you should have inter-vlan routing.
Dumb question: Did you type "ip routing" in global config?

Hi Friend,
Yes it will accept "ip routing" command and will do all basic routing like static rouing, intervlan routing and also support routing protocokl like RIP.
switch(config)#ip routing
