config management using telnet

Since I reinstalled CW, telnet doesn't seem to work anymore. CW always uses tftp or another procotol. telnet is always first choice in the admin section. When I do a telnet from another app it works. What could be wrong in CW ?

My system runs on Sun Solaris 8

Try removing everything except telnet from your transport protocols. Then enable a packet capture to determine what is happening when RME is telnetting to the device. Use Follow TCP Stream in Ethereal/Wireshark to read the TCP output in the packet capture.

you could also turn on debugs for archive management and look at the dcma logs
