I have a question about the following output from the 'show logging' command on IOS:
Trap logging: level warnings, 5 message lines logged
Logging to 144.58.100.25 (udp port 514, audit disabled, link down), 5 message lines logged, xml disabled,
filtering disabled
What does the statement 'link down' refer to? I looked around on CCO for an answer and came up empty handed.
Thank you in advance.

I am not sure, but it could be the meaning of link UPDOWN tracking.
Possibly the link down event would not be sent.

hmmm...that's a distinct possibility. Do you know the command to turn link up/down tracking off/on an the 3750's off hand?

Hi jdevoll, Hi all!
Did you discover the reason for that message?
I think that the meaning of that message is that the syslog server is unreachable for some reason, but I am not sure.
Let me know if you discover something.
Thanks and Regards
