Interface problem

on my switch I am getting this log message:

Logging history:

2007-03-17 12:21:07 @5-LINKUPDOWN:Gi0/10 changed state to down

2007-03-17 12:21:07 @5-LINKUPDOWN:Gi0/11 changed state to down

2007-03-17 12:21:10 @5-LINKUPDOWN:Gi0/10 changed state to up

2007-03-17 12:21:10 @5-LINKUPDOWN:Gi0/11 changed state to up

The interface goes DOWN & UP for a small fraction of time. My servers are connected to this port.Hence the application hangs & afterwords need to restart the services. pls help to identify the problem for this.

Duplex settings - FULL

Speed - Auto

Hi Arvind,

What is the OS of the servers connected, Duplex and Speed setting.

Suggest to set

Duplex full

Speed 100

Monitor the sh int on router / Switch and try tweeking the above both ends... You will succeed if there is no hardware problem.

You can also try changing the ports if you have free ones.
