I am having this error when trying to load the CallManager

Cisco mcs 7800:

in primary device 0 failure

any help appreciated

What version CallManager are you trying to load?

Is this new out of the box?

Just inserted the image cds or ?

If it's 4.x, you will need to use the DVD's from start. It will take care of the RAID setup for the mirrored drives, then start the OS load of windows 2000, etc. Once that is done, a script will take care of loading CCM.

But if your primary is dead, you wont be able to create the mirror, hence stopping the load the CCM OS. You can load one drive, but if this is for production, get the drive replaced, or try simply pulling the drive out, pushing it back in. Sometimes they are just seated well in the bay.
