Deploy WLC's to support Multi Building Campus

We are deploying WLC's to support a multi building campus. The buildings are separated by Layer 3 routed links, but, we were going to only use 2 WLC's in a single building to support the AP's in all the buildings. Each building would have it's own IP subnet for wireless.

Is this possible only using 2 WLC's or do we need WLC's in each building?
