Solved: L2/L3 Switch

Hi, can someone recommend for me a low cost 24-port fast-ethernet cisco switch that has L2 and L3 functionality for creating VLANs and routing internally between VLANs and routing externally.

Absolutely. Note, some features are only in "IP services" or better image. But L3 and basic routing are in all images.

Hi Friend,

Because you asked for a single switch which can work as L2 and L3 both, the starting siwtch model will be 3560

Have a look at this link

But incase you just want a basic l2 feature the lowest model will be CE500 switch

It would be a good idea to compare IPBASE and IPSERVICES to make sure you won't need something down the road. For example, multicast routing is not supported in IPBASE.
