Backup VPN over Internet + Internet Link (Utilization Scenario)

Reg:Backup VPN over Internet+InternetLink

Total Link Bandwidth: 10000Kbps

Single Link = Internet + VPN Link

Mux---->Wired Conn..---->Internet Router

Europe - India --->Logical VPN Tunnel

My Internet-int B/W given as:10000

My VPN Tunnel B/W given as:10000

Consider my Internet B/W has peak Utilization of 9000Kbps & if i want to move my Data Traffic via Bkp VPN Link means whether i will be able to use left out 1000Kbps in the Link.

Internet Link is not a Problem ! !

Since, only Internet Router has the Conn..to the ISP MUX & Bkp VPN is a Logical Configuration of Tunnel. All my Data Traffic via Bkp VPN Link will go the Internet Router & reach MUX, finally to Europe side (or) how ? ?

Kindly Help on this Issue.Thanks in Advance.

I feel you need to put more clarity on the kinda topology you have in place at present and also a pictorial representation of the setup you have in place ..

HI Premkumar,

I was investigation more on the set-up.

1. Internet Router

a. Fast Eth 0/1 - 10Mbps to MUX

b. Fast Eth 0/0 - Link to DMZ Switch

2. Backup VPN Router

a. Fast Eth 0/1 - Link to WAN Switch

b. Logical Tunnel - Bandwidth of 10Mbps

3. Juniper Networks Netscreen - Firewall

a. Interface Connected - DMZ Switch

My Scenario:

If my Data is going via Backup Link means i would like to know the Route of Traffic.

WAN Switch-->Backup VPN Router Tunnel-->

-->Juniper Firewall-->DMZ Switch--->Internet

Router-->to MUX Device
