Alternating green amber

I have a brand new switch WS-C2960G-48TC-L with ios "flash:c2960-lanbase-mz.122-25.SEE2/c2960-lanbase-mz.122-25.SEE2.bin"

and when i configure vlan trunks with any other type of switches (2950,2960,2970) the port led on both switches changes continusly from green to amber. The trunk seems that it's working with no CRC errors or interface resets.

Anyone that can help on this. Cisco said that this is a link-fault indication nothing else.

if i remember, the 2960 is a gig switch. green means gig, amber means 100mb.

If its alternating maybe the switch is trying to negotiate gig but is goign back to 100. Try manually setting the speed and duplex on both ends of the link and see if it stays one color.
