Hello all! I am currently setting up an old 4600 on my network. I have been unsuccessful in assigning it an IP and pinging through my cable modem/router. I think that setting up the fastEthernet module to pull an IP instead of assigning it one would cure this. If there is any info needed please let me know and I will post it.

Configure 'ip address dhcp' under fastethernet interface. The interface should get an IP if there's a DHCP server on that segment.

"sh ip interface brief"

Indeed that worked. How can I show the obtained ip? I do a show interface fastEthernet 0 and recieve the following:
