How would I set fastEthernet 0 to pull an ip from my DHCP server

Hello all! I am currently setting up an old 4600 on my network. I have been unsuccessful in assigning it an IP and pinging through my cable modem/router. I think that setting up the fastEthernet module to pull an IP instead of assigning it one would cure this. If there is any info needed please let me know and I will post it.

Configure 'ip address dhcp' under fastethernet interface. The interface should get an IP if there's a DHCP server on that segment.

Indeed that worked. How can I show the obtained ip? I do a show interface fastEthernet 0 and recieve the following:

FastEthernet0 is up, line protocol is up

Hardware is DEC21140, address is 0050.0f06.7451 (bia 0050.0f06.7451)

Internet address will be negotiated using DHCP

MTU 1500 bytes, BW 100000 Kbit, DLY 100 usec,

reliability 201/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255

Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set

Keepalive set (10 sec)

Half-duplex, 100Mb/s, 100BaseTX/FX

ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00

Last input 00:00:24, output 00:00:02, output hang never

Last clearing of "show interface" counters never

Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0

Queueing strategy: fifo

Output queue: 0/40 (size/max)

5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec

5 minute output rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
