Channalized and Un-Channalized Card

Dear Sir,

Can you please tell me, Is this possible that i take un-channelized E3 from PSTN and convert it into different channels. or i only use the same un-channelized card with DSU.

regards

Do you need this for voice or for data ?

What are you connecting to ?

If the first, you need a 5x00 router.

If for data, there is a channelized card available as PA and for bigger routers too.

Dear Sir,

We already have 7206 in which we wish to put E3 in it. please suggest what type of card we need bcoz our PSTN is provide a Un-Channelized E3 but we need channelized. how do we do that. and if we take un-channelized then it works on only un-channelized card or also work on channelized card.

regards.

Hello,

the channelize card is used when you have multiple remote site with speeds Nx64 up to 2MB. In this case telco will give you a CE3 circuit in which all the above E1 are multiplexed together.

If telco is unable to do the above, the channelized card is useless.

The unchannelized card is used only to have a 34mbps circuit, point to point between two routers.

Hope this helps, please rate all useful posts!
