Hi,
I have flash memory chips here but no way of telling what size they are. How would one know what the size of the flash module is before putting it in the router?

Can you post the product number written on it?
Check this link to check the product number of 800 series flash memory http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/acs_fix/800/800upgrd.htm
The 877 router flash memory comes in 4MB, 16MB, and 32MB. Default is 24MB (20MB on-board and 4MB flash memory card). Maximum is 52MB.
The following are flash memory product number supported in 877 router;
MEM870-4F= is 4MB
MEM870-16F= is 16MB
MEM870-32F= is 32MB
MEM870-8F= is 8MB but is not supported in 877 router.

Its StrataFlash Memory and the chip manufacturer is intel, right?
I can't find an answer for the code JS28F320 in intel web site. But it should be 32MB.
