i need advice on setting up a converged data and voice network. The wan uses 2M Leased lines. The leased lines were originally used for voice only while data was running on a Frame-relay circuit of 128k.Since the voice network seemed to be underutilised the customer wants to move the data network to the exiting voice leased lines.

My question is what interfaces should i use on my routers as shown in the Diagram.where can i get an example config of a point to point E1 leased line on a cisco router especilaly 3825 and 2821.

the customer is using a mite solution for voice and does not want to migrate to cisco Voip due to a contract signed with mitel.

Well getting specificall to your question about how to configure point to point E1 leased line

For Unframed configuration

controller E1 3/0

channel-group 0 unframed

interface Serial3/0:0

ip address

ip mroute-cache

For other configurations this would be useful

Here we are binding 16 timeslots.

controller E1 4/0

channel-group 1 timeslots 1-16

interface Serial4/0:0

ip address

encapsulation ppp

Links that could be useful

More specific

Do rate if this helps :)
